Reedpop Released a statement on the scheduling of BookExpo:
“After many hours of conversation, we have decided to postpone BookCon from May to July 25 & 26 at the Javits Center,” the organizer announced in an official statement. “We have been closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 in New York and around the country and following the guidance of health officials — we are now complying with the state’s request that large gatherings be postponed to ensure the well-being of everyone involved with our event.”
“We are committed to giving you the best BookCon you’ve ever seen this summer,” the statement adds. “We hope you’re able to still join us, and if so, your tickets will be automatically transferred over to the July dates, no action is required on your part. If you are unable to join us on the new dates, please fill out this form before April 1, 2020 to let us know that you would like a refund. Due to volume, please allow for up to 30 days process your refund.”
BookExpo America is now scheduled to happen on July 25 – 26 in New York City, while Comic-Con International will be held July 23 – 26 in San Diego, California.
