Last week, House of Cards cast and crew were informed the hiatus on season 6 would be extended through Dec. 8. Now we have news Netflix has reached an agreement to resume production on the sixth and final season of the series. Production had been halted following sexual assault allegations against star Kevin Spacey.
Ted Sarandos said at UBS’s Global Media and Communications Conference in New York:
“We were really excited we could get to an agreement” to provide “closure of the show for fans”
Season 6 of the political thriller will be eight episodes, starring Robin Wright, Sarandos said. Spacey will not appear in the final season.
