Sabrina The Teenage Witch Series Picked Up By Netflix

A new  Sabrina series was in development in the CW as a companion to Riverdale. Now, we are learning the series has been picked up by Netflix for two seasons for a total of 20 episodes.

The currently untitled project is based on the Archie Comics graphic novel The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. The project comes from the same team as the CW series Riverdale – Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. TV, with writer Aguirre-Sacasa and director Lee Toland Krieger. Netflix currently has domestic SVOD rights to Riverdale.

The coming project will reimagine  Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a darker story… with some horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Stay tuned, kids…
