Sony has been trying to get a Masters of the Universe film in production since 
2009. Now, David S. Goyer is in talks to direct the Masters of the Universe reboot.
Masters of the Universe was a popular Mattel action figure line that was developed into both an an animated series and a 1987 live-action film that starred Dolph Lundgren.
Goyer was a screenwriter on Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel, with his directing credits including Blade: Trinity and The Unborn.
Masters of the Universe arrives hits theaters Dec. 18, 2019.
