Lone Wolf and Cub Adaptation Gets a Writer

Lone Wolf and Cub was created by writer Kazuo Koike and artist Goseki Kojima in 1970. The manga series began publishing in the U.S. in the late 1980s.

The series centers story follows a dishonored assassin who must flee with his infant son when his family is murdered. The two then set out on an epic quest for revenge, with father passing down his violent skills to his son. By the end of the manga’s run, it had reached nearly 9,000 pages overall and spawned a TV series, plays and several movies.

Paramount is adapting the series with Andrew Kevin Walker, who wrote the script for the 1995 film Seven, is on board to write the script. Justin Lin is producing and intends to direct. Lin is best known for helming parts three to six of the Fast & Furious franchise, in addition to Star Trek Beyond.
