Dan DiDio and Jim Lee revealed at a panel that the Action comics line will be celebrating the upcoming #1000 milestone by releasing a hardcover that will revisit major moments in Action Comics history, like the introduction of Superman, Supergirl, Brainiac and the Fortress of Solitude. It will have classic Superman stories as well as literary essays by Jules Feiffer, Paul Levitz, as well as others. Also an unpublished ‘40s Superman story thought to have been written by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster as well as poster that incorporates all 1000 Action Comics covers. Also the actual 1000th issue of Action will be an oversized issue written by Pete Tomasi and Dan Jurgens. Including a Superman story written by Geoff Johns and Richard Donner.
