Suicide Squad 2 Nabs a Writer… and Director?

Variety is reporting The Accountant helmer Gavin O’Connor has joined Suicide Squad 2 as writer and is in talks to direct.

The first Suicide Squad film was written and directed by David Ayer. The film earned $745.6 million worldwide.

Suicide Squad 2 is expected to begin production in 2018. The film is slated for release in 2019. Stay tuned, kids.
