Marvel and Star Wars Headed Exclusively to Disney Streaming Service

It had been previously reported Disney films would not longer be available on Netflix when the current distribution agreement ends. At the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2017 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced Marvel and Star Wars titles will be streamed exclusively on the new Disney streaming platform set to launch in late 2019. The coming service will also several original Disney series, exclusive Disney movies along with its existing television library.

Iger said of the service:

“I have described a very rich, treasure trove of content for this app. We’re going to launch big, and we’re going to launch hot.”

What does this mean for Marvel’  Netflix television dramas including DaredevilJessica JonesLuke CageIron FistThe Defenders and the upcoming Punisher? Stay tuned kids..
