This time, it’s good news. The sequel to The sequel to 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service will be hitting theaters just a lil bit early. The release date for Kingsman: The Golden Circle has been moved from Oct. 6 to Sept. 29 with the film opening simultaneously in North America and the United Kingdom. The film was originally targeted for June 16, 2017, but was pushed back last year to October. This latest move keeps the film out of direct competition with Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, Kingsman: The Golden Circle stars Taron Egerton, Sophie Cookson, Mark Strong and Julianne Moore. The sequel picks up after the events of the 2015 film. The official synopsis is below:
Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong), two British spies, travel to the United States to join forces with their American counterparts.
