At Emerald City Comicon, Valiant Entertainment CEO Dinesh Shamdasani and writer Eric Heisserer announced Dave Wilson will direct the coming Bloodshot film. The film will be Wilson’s directorial debut.
Bloodshot, created by Kevin VanHook and Yvel Guichet in 1992, debuted in Valiant’s Eternal Warrior #4. The character’s blood is full of nanomachines giving him the power to heal extraordinarily fast, shape-shift and the ability to hack into computers using only the power of the tiny computers in his bloodstream. A former soldier, he has an aptitude for hand-to-hand combat and is well-versed in all manner of weapons-training. Downside of all the nanomachines? Bloodshot’s brain is starved for oxygen causing amnesia.
Although no casting details have been announced, the Bloodshot film will be produced in part by Sony Pictures and Original Film. Stay tuned, kids…
