The upcoming Black Lightening series won’t cross over into the Arrowverse

Greg Berlanti in a recent interview talked about the new upcoming DC show based on the character “Black lightening” created in 1977 by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden. When asked if the show that will be on Fox might cross over to the other shows on the CW he replied :

“I don’t think so,”  “If we’re lucky enough that that exists, that that show exists, I don’t think those worlds will cross over.”

The series will reportedly focus on Jefferson Pierce, “who hung up his suit and his secret identity years ago. However, with a daughter hell-bent on justice and a star student being recruited by a local gang, he’ll be pulled back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.”

Produced by Warner Bros. Television, Akil Productions and Berlanti Productions, the pilot is being written by Akils, who are also executive producing, alongside Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
