Happy Halloween. Fox has given a back 9 order to Lucifer. The second season started with a 13-episode pickup. This news bringing its episode count to a full-season 22. Fox entertainment president David Madden said:
“Lucifer continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling. The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham, and we couldn’t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes.”
Lucifer, based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo, has done well in ratings – performing on par and sometime even edging Monday companion Gotham.
