The Tick, “I Love Dick” and “Jean-Claude Van Johnson” are all picked to go to series.
Starring Peter Serafinowicz as the Tick and Griffin Newman as his sidekick Arthur, the new “Tick” series features a grittier, more street-level take on the pompous and blustery superhero. The Tick originally debuted in the pages of “New England Comics” in 1986 and was followed by a cartoon series in 1994 and a live-action series starring Patrick Warburton in 2001.
“I Love Dick,” starring Kevin Bacon and Kathryn Hahn, is based on a cult favorite novel and focuses on a Texas couple’s relationship following a cultural awakening. “Jean-Claude Van Johnson” stars, of course, Jean-Claude Van Damme as a heightened version of himself wherein the action star also serves as a black ops agent (while also making action flicks).
