Deadline has reported Ben Queen, the show’s creator and showrunner, has left the project. The report points to“creative differences” between Queen and Warner Bros. TV. Production was reportedly scheduled to start in a few weeks, but those plans have been put on hold due to Queen’s departure. Powerless is expected to air on NBC as a midseason premiere in 2017.
