Comic legend DARWYN COOKE passes away

The world has lost another comic legend with the passing of creator Darwyn Cooke. Cooke’s wife announced on his official blog that he was battling an “aggressive” form of cancer which sadly he lost on Saturday  May 14.  Cooke is an award winning creator who’s career spanned over 30 years with such celebrated work like  Catwoman, DC: The New Frontier, The Spirit and Richard Stark’s Parker: The Hunter. He also worked as a storyboard artist for Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: The Animated Series, and in 1999 he animated the main title design for Batman Beyond. He then worked as a director for Sony Animation’s Men in Black: The Series for a year. His most recent work was the Vertigo series The Twilight Children mixes elements of science fiction and magic realism.
