Curse Headed to the Big Screen

Curse-02-rev-1-3fe91-c7e19Blumhouse has optioned a film adaptation of Curse. The Boom! Studios graphic novel was written Michael Moreci (Roche Limit) and Tim Daniel (Enormous) and illustrated by Colin Lorimer and Riley Rossmo. The book tells the story of:

“…a widowed father who is desperate and financially broken from trying to save his child from a rare illness. Seizing the opportunity to claim a reward offered for the capture of a killer in his rural community, he inadvertently captures a werewolf. The question then becomes whether the lycan will be the broken family’s reluctant savior or its final destroyer.”

Jason Blum will produce via Blumhouse. Blum’s coming projects include The Darkness and The Purge: Election Year. He also is a producer on car culture drama Lowriders. Boom!’s Adam Yoelin will executive produce the project with Ross Richie and Stephen Christy also producing on Boom!’s side. Stay tuned, kids.
