Actor Dylan O’Brien’s publicist Jennifer Allen released a statement saying :
“his injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover.” The report states that the cast and crew of the film have been sent home, with a new start date to be determined by O’Brien’s recovery.
O’Brien was struck by a car when a scene he was filming went wrong, causing him to suffer a “concussion, facial fracture and lacerations.” He was injured during a car stunt when he was unexpectedly pulled from the top of one vehicle and struck by another.
FOX also released a statement :
“The resumption of principal photography on ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible,”
“The Death Cure” was scheduled to open Feb. 17, 2017.
