The Netflix’s Marvel series Jessica Jones has tapped Raelle Tucker as an executive producer for the second season. Tucker recently served as executive producer/showrunner on the A&E drama The Returned. She will be writer void left by the departure of executive producer Liz Friedman. Tucker will work alongside creator/executive producer/showrunner Melissa Rosenberg who said of the announcement:
“We’ve had such an incredible response to our first season, on which I’ve been so fortunate to have an extraordinary team all the way down the line from the fellow writers, executive producers, cast and crew. I’m thrilled to have someone as talented as Raelle join our team as writer and executive producer as we delve into Jessica’s continued story.”
Fellow executive producer and Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb also commented:
“Have to echo Melissa’s gratitude to everyone who worked on Season One — and now adding Raelle’s awesome skills as a writer and executive producer, we’re sure that Season Two will rock.”
Tucker’s previous credits include work on HBO’s True Blood and The CW’s Supernatural, in addition to The Returned. No word on when we will get the second season of Jessica Jones. Stay tuned….
