Back in 2001 comic book character The Tick made an appearance on the small screen. The live-action 9 episode Fox comedy series, starring Patrick Warburton, was well received by critics and quickly achieved cult status. Sadly, that was all we got. Until NOW. Amazon has ordered a pilot for a new take on with an all-new cast. Griffin Newman (Vinyl) is on board to play Arthur Everest with Valorie Curry (House of Lies, The Following) has been cast as his sister Dot Everest according to Deadline. Wally Pfister is in negotiations to direct with Sony Pictures TV producing. The Tick creator Ben Edlund is on board as writer and executive producer as is fellow original exececutive producer Barry Josephson.
