Mitch Gerads has made a name for himself as the artist on such military themed comics as “The Activity”, “The Punisher” and now DC/Vertigo’s “Sheriff of Babylon”- a murder mystery set in the early days of the Iraq war. He discusses how, with writer Tom King, they crafted the look of a very specific time that wasn’t heavily documented. Gerads puts emphasis on everything from body armor to tea cups in his own inimitable style. He and Wendi also discuss how they’d redesign cereal boxes, and whether or not he can draw sexy ladies.
