AMC Developing Joe Hill’s NOS4R2

joe-hill-nosa42Well, Merry Christmas to ME!! Deadline is reporting AMC is developing a series based on Joe Hill’s novel Nos4R2 set to be produced by Michael Eisner’s Tornante TV and AMC Studios. Currently, the search has begun for a writer. The novel, published by William Morrow in 2013, debuted at No. 5 on the New York Times Best Seller List. The synopsis is as follows:

Summer. Massachusetts. An old Silver Wraith with a frightening history. A story about one serial killer and his lingering, unfinished business. Anyone could be next. We’re going to Christmasland…NOS4R2 is an old-fashioned horror novel in the best sense. Claustrophobic, gripping and terrifying, this is a story that will have you on the edge of the seat while you read, and leaving the lights on while you sleep. With the horrific tale of Charles Manx and his Silver Wraith, Joe Hill has established himself as the premiere horror and supernatural thriller writer of his generation.

Hill’s Horns was made into a 2014 feature directed by Alex Aja and starring Daniel Radcliffe. His novel Heart Shaped Box is currently being redeveloped at Warner Bros. by Langley Park Productions. Locke & Key had been developed by as a TV series Fox with a pilot order, and then as a feature at Universal. Rumor has it, it is being looked at again for a TV series.  Hill’s fourth novel The Fireman, will be published in May 2016. Stay tuned, kids….
