“Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” PULLS IN $1.97 Million in U.S. Opening Night

In its limited U.S. theatrical release “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” earned $1.97 million Tuesday marking the eighth-highest domestic debut for an anime film. It opened  in  894 theaters, it averaged $2,198 per screen, more than any other film playing Tuesday in the United States. It came in at sixth place overall. “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F,’” which opened April 18 in Japan. The film opens today in Canada, and will screen in more than 1,000 theaters across North America by the time its limited theatrical run ends on Aug. 12.
