Lost ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ Theatrical Companion Short Film

How COOL is this? When Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back hit theaters in Europe and Australia in 1980, audiences were treated to a short film that ran ahead of the feature film. Black Angel was a film directed by Roger Christian. Christian won an Oscar for set decoration on the original Star Wars. Apparently, George Lucas wanted a film to play ahead of the feature. Christian pitched his story of a knight returning home from the Crusades who gets lost in a fantasy realm. Lucas commissioned the film. The film was lost shortly after screening but is currently available free on YouTube. Follow the film at:
