Disney X D has picked the rights for Seasons 2-4 of the BBC series Doctor Who. The channel will begin airing the series on May 9. BBC Worldwide North America EVP Matt Forde said of the deal:
“Disney X D is recognized for its family-friendly programming, making the channel a great partner to introduce the David Tennant seasons of Doctor Who to a new generation of viewers.”
The May 9 broadcast will offer the first episode of the first season featuring David Tennant. Episode will continue airing June 13. Pay TV subscribers can begin watching on the Disney XD app June 14.
