Fox Confirms X-Men TV Series

X-Men-First-Class-Logo-x-men-first-class-22778454-1600-1200TV Insider is reporting that Fox entertainment chairmen Gary Newman has confirmed they are working on a primetime series inspired by the X-Men comic books. Before the series can move forward, 20th Century Fox and Disney will have to negotiate. Although 20th Century Fox controls film rights, the comic is owned by Marvel. Who is owned by Disney. Newman is quoted as saying:

“It’s in negotiations. We’re cautiously optimistic, we had a good meeting with them. That will not be on a fast track creatively. This is just the deal, now we have to find the creative.”

Since this is truly in its infancy, we should not expect to see this, assuming an agreement is made, until the 2016-2017 TV season. Stay tuned, kids…
