Deadline is reporting that Simon Pegg will be co-writing Star Trek 3 along with Doug Jung. The coming film will be directed by Justin Lin following the departure of Roberto Orci who is still involved as an executive producer. Pegg’s writing credits include Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End with Edgar Wright. Jung is the creator of the TNT drama Dark Blue and the writer of 2003’s Confidence.
Star Trek 3 opens July 8, 2016.
